When using this type of feeder, it is important to supply the right amount of fuel and air - given in the right proportions, they will form a 2cm "dome", from which the ash formed in the final stage of combustion moves to the periphery of the retort and falls into the ash pan chamber.
Retort feeders from different manufacturers may have a different appearance (rectangular, round, rotary), but the mode of operation and quality of combustion are the same.
